Under a parasol canopy a central figure sits in a form of protection pose holding what appears to be a scroll while seated on the back of an Imperial guardian lion, or SHI, dressed in long robes and jewels. Lotus flowers spread at the base of image beneath the Shi.
The condition is commiserate with age with staining but the majority of the silk work is good and displays fine color. It is, at present, as found, attached by thread to a piece of mid C20th soft cardboard.
